About the Founder

Tania Tovey is a compensation and talent strategy leader who specializes in designing cohesive people systems — connecting how work is structured, how performance is measured, how rewards are allocated, and how opportunity flows. She believes clarity is a company’s ultimate competitive advantage, and she brings a rare combination of analytical rigor, organizational insight, and system design to every engagement.

Before founding Tovey & Coefficients, Tania served as Director of Global Compensation at Pure Storage, where she led compensation strategy for more than 6,700 employees across 50 countries. Her remit spanned broad-based, executive, equity, and global job architecture, as well as pay-for-impact design and compensation committee support. She is recognized for turning complex problems into structured, actionable systems leaders can use with confidence.

Tania previously spent over a decade at Franklin Templeton, directing global compensation strategy across 60+ offices and advising the Compensation & Talent Committee. She led total rewards frameworks, post-merger compensation integration, and incentive plan design across multiple geographies. Earlier in her career, she supported technology and life sciences clients at Radford and strengthened her analytical foundation at Equilar, conducting executive compensation and governance research.

Across all of these roles, a pattern emerged: organizations invest heavily in compensation, performance, and talent — but the systems rarely connect. Tania built her firm to change that.

A mathematician by training with a B.A. in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara, Tania brings deep analytical discipline to decision-making. She completed MIT’s Applied Data Science Program, where she studied AI and machine learning applications for organizational problems, and she holds a certification in Lean Six Sigma, blending technical acumen with operational precision.

Her mission is simple: to help organizations design people systems that fuel performance, accelerate potential, and make opportunity — and growth — possible by design.
